Finding your “why” is usually an important part of training and I have trained clients in achieving some fantastic changes both physical and mental and the nature of these changes can vary tremendously - that after all, is the whole point of personal training, it’s just that - personal.  ‘Cookie cutter’ formulas do not work as every person is unique.

 

So whether your goal is to get stronger, lose weight, gain weight, prepare for a holiday or special occasion, improve posture, get ready for a sporting event, simply lead a fitter lifestyle for your own wellbeing or just to have a person to make you exercise and assist with accountability - all are equally valid goals (this list is not exhaustive either!).

Building Strength

Concetta has trained with me for a few years with the goal of gaining muscle weight and has, over time, put on 20kgs of muscle (yes, that’s over 3 stone) and achieved a tremendous physique. Here she is recently squatting 100kgs - she walked into the gym initially having never lifted weights before.

12 Week Fat Loss

Andrew achieved a significant weight drop (9kg) and body fat reduction in a short space of time. He also lost 5 inches off his waist. Yes this really was done over just 12 weeks (like those posters you always see around London promise :)). It can be achieved with very disciplined dietary and exercise changes.

Overcoming Obstacles (literally)

Alistair entered the rough runner multi terrain obstacle course event for the second time. Previously the ‘hang tough rings’ and ‘travelator’ (think 90s Gladiators) had defeated him. We focussed on intense circuits to replicate the obstacles in the course and he easily passed these tests second time round, lowering his run time by 10 minutes too!
