  • Where do sessions take place?
All sessions take place at Revolution Personal Training Studios in Islington — a friendly, well-equipped private studio. It’s not a commercial gym, so you can train in a quieter, more focused environment.
  • Is the studio private or will others be around?
It’s a semi-private space — only a few personal trainers and clients are ever training at the same time. It’s relaxed, calm, and ideal for focused 1:1 coaching.
  • Can I share sessions with a friend or partner?
I don’t offer shared sessions as I recommend focusing on individual goals for the best results. I’ve worked with couples and friends separately, and they often appreciate the support they give each other. However, one-on-one coaching provides a more personalised approach.
  • Do you offer online personal training sessions?
Yes — while most clients train in-person, I also offer remote coaching and check-ins to help you stay consistent if you're travelling or prefer training from home.
  • Can you train me at home, or do sessions only happen in the studio?
All of my personal training sessions take place at a private studio in Islington, where you'll have access to professional equipment in a calm, focused space. I don’t currently offer in-home sessions — but if you prefer to train from home, I also offer online coaching and remote programmes tailored to your goals, schedule, and setup.
  • What qualifications do you have?
I am qualified at both REPS levels 2 and 3 for personal training (REPS stands for the Register of Exercise Professionals) and additionally I have over a decade of training clients with a vast array of backgrounds and abilities.
  • Do you offer trial sessions or consultations?
Yes — I offer a free, no-obligation consultation to talk through your goals, see the space, and ask any questions. It’s a great chance to see if personal training is right for you, with no pressure to commit.
  • I’m nervous about starting — what if I feel out of place?
You’re not alone — many clients feel the same at first. This space is friendly, low-pressure, and built around you. My approach is supportive and tailored, so you’ll never be pushed to do something that doesn’t feel right.
  • What should I wear to a personal training session?
Just wear something comfortable you can move in — gym wear, leggings, or shorts and a t-shirt are perfect. Trainers with good grip are ideal, and there’s no need to bring any equipment — everything is provided at the studio.
  • Do I need to bring anything to my sessions?
Just yourself, a water bottle, and comfortable clothes. The studio has all the equipment you need, and there are changing facilities and showers if you're coming straight from work or heading out after.
  • How is personal training different from going to the gym on my own?
Working with a personal trainer means you don’t have to guess what to do — everything is planned, guided, and adjusted for you. You’ll train more efficiently, avoid injury, and stay motivated with someone in your corner every session.
  • What’s the difference between personal training and group fitness classes?
Group classes are great for general fitness, but 1:1 personal training is tailored specifically to you — your goals, injuries, pace, and preferences. You’ll get real-time feedback on technique, structured progression, and a training plan built to evolve with you.
  • How often should I train with a personal trainer?
It depends on your goals and schedule — clients train anything from once per week to 5 days a week. We’ll work out what’s realistic for you and build a plan that fits around your life.
  • How long will it take to see results?
Everyone’s journey is different, but many clients begin to notice changes in strength, energy and confidence within a few weeks. For weight loss or muscle gain, it depends on consistency, nutrition, and your individual goals — which we’ll discuss at your consultation.
  • Is personal training worth it?
Many clients say it’s one of the best investments they’ve made in their health. With expert support, accountability, and a tailored plan, personal training often delivers results faster — and more sustainably — than going it alone.
  • Can personal training help me get in shape for a specific event (wedding, holiday, etc.)?
Yes — I regularly help clients prepare for events like weddings and holidays. We’ll set a realistic timeline and build a plan that improves your fitness, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
  • I already run/cycle/do yoga — can personal training fit around that?
Definitely. Personal training complements other activities beautifully. I’ll design a strength-based plan that supports your routine — whether it’s running, cycling, yoga or sport — to help improve performance and reduce injury risk.
  • Am I too old (or too young) to start personal training?
Not at all. I work with a wide range of clients — from an 18 year old just getting started in the gym to clients in their 70s and beyond. Strength training is incredibly beneficial at any age, and each session is tailored to your ability, experience, and goals. Whether you're just starting or returning after a break, we’ll build a plan that works for you.
  • Can personal training help with back pain or posture issues?
Yes — many clients experience back pain or tightness from desk work. Strength training can correct imbalances, improve posture, and reduce discomfort — all in a safe, structured way.
  • Do you help with weight loss?
Yes. While strength training is my focus, I regularly work with clients who want to lose weight, improve body composition, and feel better in their bodies. Your programme will be tailored to support fat loss in a sustainable, healthy way.
  • Do you help with nutrition and diet advice?
Yes — I can offer general nutrition guidance to support your goals, including weight loss, energy, and muscle gain.
  • How do I know if I’ve found the right personal trainer for me?
The right personal trainer should make you feel comfortable, understood, and supported — not judged or overwhelmed. Look for someone who listens to your goals, adapts to your pace, and offers a clear plan. It’s also worth checking reviews, qualifications, and experience. I offer a free consultation in my Islington studio so you can get a feel for the space and how I work — no pressure, no commitment.
